AMN Level 2 Practitioner · Online certification

When it’s been years.

The shoulder that has hurt since 2015. The back that three therapists have already worked on. Level 2 is where AMN goes past the muscle, into the jaw, the skull, the organs and the hormonal system, all read through the same muscle test. When the usual answers have run out, these are the places the nervous system often points to.

The clients who have tried everything

Years, not weeks.

They arrive with a folder of scans and a list of everyone they have seen. The muscle work helps for a while, then it is back. Level 2 is built for these clients.

Jaw and neck

“My neck has never been right.”

The TMJ influences the whole body. You will learn the TMJ screen, and how calming the jaw can change a stiff neck, a shoulder or the lower back.

Organs and glands

“It’s always the same side.”

An organ or a gland can drive a muscle imbalance. The viscero-somatic and endocrine-somatic screens show you the exact link through reflex pathways.

Pain

“Nothing takes the edge off.”

The brain has its own way of turning pain down, from the midbrain. The midbrain analgesia drill is a simple process to stimulate it, and one you will use every week.

The cause is often somewhere else.

The jaw, the skull, the organs and the glands are wired into the same nervous system as the muscle you are testing. Level 2 gives you a step-by-step screen to follow the signal back to where it starts.

Ahead of its time

The body is electric.

Level 2 starts where most anatomy courses stop: the bioelectrical and piezoelectric nature of the body, a network of water, collagen and electrical charge. The muscle test becomes the way you read it.

  1. Proprioception screen: practitioner testing a seated client's arm
    01

    Screen

The master folder: a step-by-step screen from the motor and sensory cortex out to the viscera and fascia, so you check every likely source in order.

  2. Ventral horn technique with the client lying face down
    02

    Pinpoint

The ventral horn technique, taken further: which muscle compartment, which receptor and which spinal level sits at the root of the complaint.

  3. David demonstrating the midbrain analgesia drill
    03

    Turn pain down

The midbrain analgesia drill uses one of the brain’s own pain-dulling pathways to reduce pain, and in some cases take it away completely.

Inside Level 2

Master the hands-on work.

This is where you master AMN’s hands-on techniques, the process we call Calibration. Every screen ends with a re-test your client can feel.

Chapter · TMJ and cranial

The neck problem that starts in the jaw.

You hold the client’s jaw and test the arm. It gives way. The TMJ has just told you it is part of the neck pain.

The temporomandibular joint has local and whole-body influence, so it needs its own screen. You learn to link what you find at the jaw to problems far away from it, then move on to the cranial sutures, which are far from fixed and can carry tension from anywhere in the body through the fascia.

Why the jaw?

Calming the nervous system’s response at the TMJ can resolve neck, shoulder and lower back and pelvic problems. That is why it gets a full chapter.

Theory · 7 lessons

Beyond mechanical anatomy

How closely the brain, body and senses are connected, and the bioelectrical and piezoelectric nature of the body that makes the screen work.

Viscero-somatic

When an organ drives the muscle

The screen that uncovers precise links between the organs and the muscular system, with the organ and muscle associations mapped out in the manual.

Endocrine-somatic

Hormones and muscle balance

Reflex connections between the neuroendocrine system and the muscles, and the contact points that let you test them.

Proprioception

Where the body thinks it is

Find faulty signalling between the brain and the neuromuscular system, conscious and unconscious, and fix the inefficient movement it causes.

Advanced application

Think outside the screen

Not every problem shows up on a standard protocol. Learn to combine critical thinking with the feedback of the client’s body to find the answer.

Certification

Final exam and certificate

Pass the Level 2 exam and qualify as an AMN Level 2 Practitioner, with the Level 2 badge for your profile and your clinic.

Included

Theory 7 lessons

Anatomy beyond mechanics, the connections between the brain, body and senses, and the bioelectrical and piezoelectric nature of the body.

Master folder 3 lessons

A step-by-step method to assess the body from the motor (M1) and somatosensory (S1) cortex, from the viscera to the fascia.

TMJ and cranial 3 lessons

The TMJ screen and how it links to distant problems; the cranial sutures and their connection to the rest of the body through the fascia.

Viscero-somatic and endocrine-somatic 3 lessons

The screens that uncover links between the organs, the neuroendocrine system and the muscles.

Ventral horn and proprioception 5 lessons

Which muscle compartment, receptor and spinal cord level is at the root of a complaint, and the proprioceptive screen for the brain and neuromuscular system.

Midbrain analgesia and advanced application

The midbrain analgesia drill, advanced creative application of the AMN system, four bonus lessons and the Level 2 final exam.

Questions

Before you enrol.

Do I need Level 1 first?

Yes. Level 2 requires the AMN Level 1 Practitioner Certification, so everyone starts with the same foundation in testing and calibration.

Who is it for?

Level 1 practitioners who want to work with chronic pain and complex cases: advanced personal trainers, movement therapists and clinicians.

How long does it take?

Most students finish in 4 to 6 months at 15 to 20 minutes a day. There is no time limit and your access never expires.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. Choose 2 monthly payments of £620 at checkout, or pay £1,239 in full.

Is there an exam?

Yes. The course ends with the Level 2 final exam. Pass it to become a certified AMN Level 2 Practitioner.

Can I get CPD or CEC points?

Check with your professional body. Once you have completed the exam we can provide the course information to submit to them.

Is AMN a medical treatment?

No. AMN is an exercise-based system. It does not diagnose or treat medical conditions and does not replace medical advice. Clients with unexplained or worsening pain should see a medical professional first.

What comes after Level 2?

The Level 2 Mastermind, then Level 3 on the AMN pathway.

Screen. Pinpoint. Resolve.
